Itinerary
Your journey begins early in the morning as our representative picks you up from Delhi by a comfortable cab. Leaving behind the bustling cityscape, you’ll soon enter the foothills of Himachal. The long drive is a treat in itself, taking you through changing landscapes—from dusty plains to winding hill roads lined with cedar and pine trees.
As you ascend towards the Kangra Valley, the cool breeze and the dramatic backdrop of the Dhauladhar Range welcome you to Dharamshala, the spiritual capital of Himachal Pradesh and home to the Tibetan Government in exile.
Upon arrival in Dharamshala by evening, you will check in to your pre-booked hotel. The town’s peaceful ambiance instantly soothes the senses. Freshen up and take some time to relax after your journey.
If you arrive with some daylight left, you may choose to take a leisurely stroll near the hotel or explore the nearby local market to catch a glimpse of local handicrafts and Tibetan artefacts. The aroma of momos, thukpa, and herbal teas fills the air, giving a hint of the cultural richness waiting for you.

Wake up to the serene mountain view and the melody of chirping birds. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, your second day is dedicated to exploring the spiritual and cultural essence of Dharamshala.
Start your sightseeing with a visit to McLeod Ganj, the Little Lhasa of India. Home to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, this peaceful hill suburb is the heart of Tibetan Buddhism in India. Visit the Tsuglagkhang Monastery, where you’ll find monks in prayer, spinning prayer wheels, and colorful Tibetan murals. Feel the calm atmosphere as you walk around the temple complex.
Next, head to Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall, located amidst lush greenery. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the nearby waterfall provides a beautiful natural retreat where you can relax and click scenic pictures.
Later, visit the Dal Lake, a small yet scenic water body surrounded by deodar trees. Enjoy the tranquility or take a short paddleboat ride.
Your day also includes a stop at the Church of St. John in the Wilderness, a neo-Gothic marvel from the British era set amid dense woods, famous for its Belgian stained-glass windows.
If time permits, you can explore the Tibet Museum or take a walk along the scenic Naddi Viewpoint, offering breathtaking sunset views of the Dhauladhar mountain range.

After breakfast and check-out from your hotel in Dharamshala, your scenic drive to Dalhousie begins. The road journey from Dharamshala to Dalhousie is a blend of beautiful valleys, deodar forests, and charming small towns. Take in the soothing visuals as you head towards one of the most beloved colonial hill stations in India.
Upon reaching Dalhousie by midday or early afternoon, check in to your pre-booked hotel and relax for a while. After freshening up, head out for a half-day local sightseeing tour of Dalhousie.
Start your exploration with a visit to Panchpula, a picturesque spot known for its refreshing stream and the Samadhi of freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh. Surrounded by lush green forests and small waterfalls, this is an ideal place for nature lovers and photographers.
Then, head to Subhash Baoli, named after Subhash Chandra Bose who is said to have meditated here. The spot offers a peaceful atmosphere and views of snow-capped peaks.
Explore the St. Francis and St. John’s Churches, two of Dalhousie’s prominent colonial-era churches. With their old-world architecture and serene surroundings, they take you back in time.
You can also visit Gandhi Chowk, a vibrant shopping area where you can pick up Himachali shawls, woollens, handicrafts, and local snacks.
Depending on time and interest, a short drive to Satdhara Falls can also be arranged. The name “Satdhara” means “seven springs” and the waters here are believed to have medicinal properties.
